Geographic Origin: This bamboo is found in the south of Chile (near Valdivia) and the south of Argentina ( the regions of Chubut and Rio-Negro).
Adult size: 3 to 5 metres in height.
Diameter of cane: Up to 3 cm.
Foliage: Evergreen.
Type of soil: Moist and deep. Does not like excessive chalk.
Climate: Southern variety.
Exposure: Partial shade or sun.
