Black Lace™ Elderberry - Sambucus nigra 'Black Lace'

Characteristics and Uses: This purple coloured tree is very elegant with deep purple finely dissected leaves. In June it is covered with pink flowers becoming creamy white. In summer the red fruits which change to black are much appreciated by the birds.
In a flowering hedge or in a mixed flowerbed this plant is spectacular in any garden. A regular trimming produces the best foliage, for the best flowering it is advised to trim at the beginning of spring.
