 Characteristics and Uses: The white flowers in August are followed by surprising fruits, the branches are weighted down by a multitude of large red berries which have the peculiarity of  white stippling in the light ( they are poisonous to people but eaten by game birds).  This shrub is planted in rockeries, banks, containers, flowerbeds or as ground cover or as a climbing plant.
