Adult size: 1 to 2.5 m. in height.

Foliage: Evergreen.

Type of soil: Moist and deep. Does not like excessive chalk.

Root development: Weak runner root system (slight spreading variety).

Characteristics and uses:
It has small leaves that are variegated with a creamy white along their length.

It can be planted as a low hedge or grown in a tub or planter; it also does very well when grown in groups.

This bamboo is very tolerant of pruning.
