Characteristics and Uses : The golden yellow flowers appear in May and June in bunches as long as 30cm. All parts are poisonous, ingestion is fatal. It is a beautiful ornamental tree planted alone or within a flowerbed. The wood is very hard and used as a substitute for ebony.
