Coyote Willow –
Salix exigua (latin)
Area of origin:
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 5 m (16,4'), width up to 3 m (9,8').
Foliage: Deciduous.
Soil Type: Rich, fertile and moist.
Hardiness: Hardy to -40°C.
Exposure: Full sun.
Characteristics and Uses:
This beautiful tree has silvery leaves which gives it the appearance of being very delicate. The branches are a lovely pink-brown colour. It establishes itself very quickly and is often used for stabilising banks.
