Japanese mock orange - Pittosporum tobira

Characteristics and Uses : Its white blooms appear at the end of spring or at the start of summer. The pleasant scent of the 'Pittospore's' bloom is similar to that of the orange tree. The 'Pittospore' can be shaped very easily. It is often used for hedges or as a windbreaker. When planted singly its rounded form can be appreciated fully. Its glossy dark green leaves are a frequent addition to floral arrangements and to bouquets of flowers.
