Geographic Origin: Originates from the coastal areas of Southeast China, found between Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Adult size: 7 to 10 m. in height.
Cane diameter: 2 to 5 cm.

Type of soil: Thrives best in rich soils.
Exposure: Partial shade or sun.

This bamboo has dark green shiny canes. Its leaves are both long and wide.
