Areas of origin: North America. Introduced in 1623.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 20 metres (65.6'), width up to 15 metres (49.2').
Foliage: Deciduous.
Soil type: All.
Hardiness: Hardy tolerant to -32°C.
Exposure: Full sun.

Characteristics and uses:
Abundant white flowers in April and May before the leaves. The leaves turn beautiful autumnal colours of orange and red. These characteristics make it a tree that is particularly interesting for parks and gardens, planted alone or in a group. The seeded fruits the size of peas and a brown-purple colour are sweet.
