Annabelle Hydrangea - Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle' (latin)

Area of origin: United States.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 1m (3.3'), width up to 1.5m (4.9').
Foliage: Deciduous.
Soil Type: Wet and well drained. Enrich if too poor. Dislikes lime.
Hardiness: Hardy to -30°C.
Exposure: Semi-shade to full sun.

Properties and uses:
Superb and abundant white flowers illuminate the garden from July to August on. This is a spectacular plant with flowers sometimes over 25cm (9.8") in diameter. Sometimes used for creating hedges as it can be cut back hard to maintain its shape.
Hydrangeas are well known for brightening the northern aspect of buildings and can just as well be used under trees, in flowerbeds or mixed groups. Can be used for creating beautiful dried floral arrangements.
