Characteristics and uses:
The Citrus ‘Pursha’, also known as Sweet Lemon or Roman Lime, produces small, sweet, yellow fruits. The juicy and tasty pulp is rich in citric acid, minerals and vitamins C, A and B.
The lemon can be enjoyed raw, candied, used in tajine or to flavour dishes.
The zest is mainly used to flavour pastries and desserts.
The plant is sensitive to cold below -4°C, and open ground planting is reserved for regions with mild climate. In colder regions, consider growing it in a large container, wintered indoors to protect from frost.
Prune it in early spring to keep its compact shape, and to avoid branches bearing fruit being too long.

Plant them now: the shortest way to your plate is through your garden!
