Properties and uses:
The finely toothed leaves are shiny dark green on top and pale green underneath. The branches are green-brown smooth and shiny. Like the foliage they are thick and fragranced. The bright yellow cylindrical male catkins are spectacular. They appear after the leaves. Usually planted along waterways and around ponds and lakes this beautiful tree is perfect planted alone or in a group.
