Properties and uses:
The Lemon Verbena is a pleasant little shrub with a lanceolate, pale green foliage. It emits a strong smell of lemon when creased between the fingers. Not very hardy under our climate, it is best to grow the Lemon Verbena in a greenhouse, or kept protected in a veranda over winter. Lastly, this plant keeps mosquitoes at bay.
