Japanese Dappled Willow –
Salix integra 'Hakuro Nishiki' (latin)
Area of origin: Developed though crossing S.Fuiri-koriyanagi with S.integra albomaculat.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 3 m, width up to 3 m (9,8').
Foliage: Deciduous, green speckled with pink and creamy white.
Soil Type: All.
Hardiness: Hardy to -29°C.
Exposure: Shade to semi-shade.
Characteristics and Uses:
This shrub has magnificent foliage. At first pink, the young shoots become creamy white and then green. The yellow-green flowers appear in spring in the form of little catkins.
This little willow with the surprising foliage brings originality to any garden, large or small. It creates a beautiful effect in flowerbeds and and when planted alone.
