Areas of origin: Northern Europe.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 20 metres (65.6'), width up to 12 metres (39.4').
Foliage: Deciduous.

Exposure: Full sun.

Characteristics and Uses:
The leaves of the Alnus incana are whitish grey underneath. It is a very interesting specimen to use for the reforestation of mountains where the soil is very poor. Its natural habitat is by the river banks and marshland
