Characteristics and Uses : Spectacularly and abundantly flowering from May to June, except for the cultivar ‘Winter Cheer’ which flowers much earlier between December and April. This shrub takes its name from a number of beneficial therapeutic uses that are made using the leaves. One can appreciate the fragrance released by creasing the leaves. This beautiful shrub is popularly used within a mixed wind break hedge or on banks, it also just as popular planted alone. Bonsai enthusiasts like to use this species and the flowers make a beautiful bouquet.
