Geographical origin: Swampy areas of the Southeast of the United States.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 25m, spread up to 20m.

Characteristics and uses:
The Black Tupelo is a superb ornamental tree with a rapid growth that is shown at its best grown on its own or as a shade providing tree. Its pyramidal shape combined to its dark green, glossy foliage which takes on superb orange to red tints in the autumn make of it an exceptional specimen. Its nectar-producing properties are used to collect a high quality honey in its natural habitat.
