Characteristics and uses:
The Star Magnolia 'Rosea' is a close relative to the Magnolia Kobus. A pink flowering variation of the classic Star Magnolia, Its blossom takes place at the end of winter and at the beginning of spring, before the appearance of the leaves. In the autumn its leaves turn yellow before falling and reveal a silvery-grey bark when the wood is old.
The Magnolia stellate 'Rosea' is sometimes considered as being an invasive plant. This risk is nevertheless limited under our latitudes as the seeds rarely reach maturity.
