Area of origin: Europe, spontaneous in South of France
Adult dimensions: Height up to 15m, width up to 6m
Foliage: Deciduous
Soil type: Any type
Hardiness: Hardy to -20°C

Properties and uses:
This tree has narrow and sharp leaves, hence its name of Narrow-leaved Ash. It is also known as Mediterranean Ash or Oxhorn Ash and is not a demanding variety. In autumn, the foliage turns red, quite different from the Common Ash which takes lighter shades.
The Narrow-leaved Ash is quite hardy and adapts to any type of soil. Therefore, it can be planted alone, in alignment, or in a mixed country hedge. It is an imposing tree with an elegant bearing.
