Everything about: Clematis armandii

Clematis armandii - Clematis armandii (latin)

Geographical origin: China.
Adult dimensions: Height up to 6 m.
Foliage: Evergreen.
Type of soil: Moist and well drained.
Hardiness: Hardy to -10°C.
Exposure: Partial shade to full sun.

Properties and uses:
This Clematis is evergreen. Grown on a trellis, it is the ideal plant to create privacy. Its small white flowers appear in the spring, and have a wonderful vanilla scent.
It benefits from having its roots in the shade and the stems in the sun: it will thrive with light regular watering and mulching. Pruning allows the plant to spread out and become more vigorous, especially after very cold winters.
