White Hibiscus, White Rose of Sharon - Hibiscus syriacus, Althea frutex 'White' (latin)

Creator: Dr Donald Egolf in 1963.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 2.5 m (8.2'), width up to 2 m (6.6').
Foliage : deciduous.
Soil Type: Avoid extremes.
Hardiness: Becomes hardy with age (to -16°C). Protect from frosts in early years, very resistant to pollution.
Exposure: Full sun.


Properties and uses:
Cutting back should be done at the end of winter to encourage flowers. Plant alone or in a group or in a mixed flowering hedge. Can be shaped such as into a standard and is perfect for small or large gardens.

Hibiscus 'Diana': Very beautiful abundant flowers from June until the first frosts.
