Columbine 'Crimson Star' - Aquilegia 'Crimson Star' (latin)

Geographical origins: Horticultural.

Properties and uses:
The Columbine 'Crimson Star' (Aquilegia) brings a unique energy to the garden as soon as spring arrives. Far from the soft hues of certain varieties, it embraces modernity with its striking and impactful bicolor blooms. Its large flowers feature long carmine-red spurs, which contrast beautifully with a core of pure white petals surrounding a cluster of yellow stamens.

  • Striking contrast: The unique pairing of bright red and pure white offers one of the most eye-catching visual displays in the columbine family.
  • Generous and airy blooming: From May to July, it produces a profusion of light flowers, carried by well-upright stems above a finely cut bluish-green foliage. They will dance at the slightest gust of wind.
