Indian Hawthorn - Rhaphiolepis x delacourii (latin)

Area of origin: Japan, southern China.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 2.5m (8,2'), width up to1.5m (4,9').
Foliage: Evergreen, olive green, the young foliage is copper red.
Soil Type: All.
Hardiness: Tolerant to -10°C.
Exposure: Semi-shade to full sun.


Properties and uses:
The Rhaphiolepis blooms in May and June but can flourish at the end of winter if the days are sweet. Ideal for flowering hedges, and flowerbeds it is perfect for small and large gardens in coastal areas.
