Blue Wisteria - Wisteria sinensis (latin)

Geographical origin: China.
Adult dimensions: Length of stems up to 25 m.
Foliage: Deciduous.
Type of soil: Rich and moist, preferably deep and well drained.
Hardiness: Hardy to -12°C, do not plant on a wind in an exposed site.
Exposure: Full sun.
Toxicity: All parts of the plant are toxic.

Properties and uses:
The Blue Wisteria will enchant you with its magnificent fragrant blossoms. The flowers, in bunches of 10 to 30 cm across appear in the spring. When planted against a solid support, it will bring a bucolic touch to your garden, and will pleasantly perfume the air when it blossoms. It is also ideal to cover pergolas.
A quick growing plant, the wisteria will need pruning each year to avoid it getting out of hand.
