Properties and uses:
Moroccan Chamomile, also known as Mount Atlas Daisy, is a mat-forming perennial ideal for dry gardens.

  • Bright & Generous Flowering: From late spring to early autumn, the daisy-like flowers open pure white in the sun, but reveal a purplish-red underside as soon as the light fades or the buds form, creating a beautiful contrast. They attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
  • Extreme Drought Resistance: Once established, it loves full sun and requires very little water. It is the perfect plant for gravel gardens, slopes, or areas that are difficult to water.
  • Decorative and Structural Foliage All Year Round: Very finely dissected, it remains grey-green all year (evergreen or semi-evergreen depending on the winter severity). It forms a very dense and compact cushion, ideal for naturally smothering weeds in borders or rock gardens. The leaves release a sweet, fruity aromatic fragrance when crushed.
  • Easy Maintenance: Hardy and low-maintenance, it adapts to poor, sandy, or even stony soils, provided they are perfectly drained.

Moroccan chamomile is ideal for rock gardens, at the front of Mediterranean beds, or for bordering a sunny path. It also thrives in pots or planters on a south-facing terrace, paired with lavender, thyme, or sedum.
