'Otto Luyken' Laurel - Prunus laurocerasus 'Otto Luyken' (latin)

Area of origin: Asia, Iran.
Adult dimensions: Height: Up to 1.5 meters (4.9'). Spread: Up to 2 meters (6.6').
Foliage: Evergreen.
Soil: All soil except chalky.
Hardiness: Frost hardy up to -20°C, prefers humid atmospheres.
Position: Full sun


Properties and uses:
The 'Otto Luyken' Laurel flowers at the beginning of summer and produces bunches of small, white, delicately perfumed flowers. For the pleasure of everyone, it re-flowers in the autumn. Its dark green leaves are narrow and stand erect.
The 'Otto luyken' Laurel is used on grounds and in gardens to create flowerbeds or low hedges.
