Blue Japanese Water Iris - Iris ensata caerula (latin)

Geographical origin: China, Japan.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 90 cm. spread up to 50 cm.

Characteristics and uses:
This Water Iris offers blue flowers with a yellow heart and a white stripe.
The Water Iris thrives in moist to wet soil. It can be planted along ponds or streams. From June to August, it adorns big, flat falls, highly coloured flowers. Cut the flowering stalks at the end of blossom and clean the clump at the end of winter.
