Properties and uses:
Salvia Officinalis, also known as Common Sage or Sage, is a perennial, hardy subshrub, used as a culinary herb as well as an ornamental plant. Its aromatic foliage is used in cuisine to give flavour to sauces and dishes.
Cultivated in a pot, in a vegetable garden or in open ground amid other aromatic herbs, Common Sage is quite hardy and does not require any particular care.


Several varieties exist:
- ‘Grower’s Friend’: very fragrant variety, red base of stems.
