Properties and uses:
This plant was once found around valleys before the developments took place. It is difficult to find today in the high valleys of the Alps, the massif Central and the Pyrenees. Grows well in all areas that have quite a damp climate. The variety 'Italica' is frequently used to create windbreak hedges.
