Properties and uses:
The Weeping Willow is majestic with its drooping habit and long, narrow leaves. It is an atypical ornamental tree that can be found in riparian forest, along waterways, but also in gardens and parks where it brings calm and serenity. Rapidly growing, it is one of the shade trees par excellence, providing shade and coolness during the summer season. It particularly likes wet land.

The different Weeping Willows:: - Salix babylonica: weeping willow native to China
- Salix babylonica pekinensis tortuosa: weeping willow with crooked branches
- Salix alba tristis: horticultural variety of the weeping willow
- Salix sepulcralis tristis: horticultural variety of weeping willow with golden wood
