Japanese water Iris 'Rose Queen' - Iris ensata 'Rose Queen' (latin)

Type of soil: Humid to soaked, rich. Ideal grown near water spots. Sensitive to excessive lime and chalk.

Characteristics and uses:
Japanese Iris ‘Rose Queen’ produces large, pink-purple flowers. The centre of the petals is dark pink with a flash of yellow on the falls. Japanese Iris thrives in moist or boggy soil. It can be planted on the border of a pond or stream. Usually flat in form, large, colourful flowers bloom from June to August. Cut the flower stems when blooming is over and clean the stump at the end of winter.
