Properties and uses:
The Tree Lomatia is a compact, bushy, slow growing shrub with a delicate and slender dark green foliage, which looks like the young fern leaves.
Up close, its dramatic spikes of mellow yellow blooms look like miniature guitars, they appear in July or in late spring for the milder regions. The ivory-white flowers also have a light fragrance which attracts pollinating insects and butterflies.
It has a good resistance to sea sprays which allows its plantation in coastal areas.
In the regions prone to frost, it tolerates to be planted in pots and placed in a sheltered spot on the balcony or the terrace.
