Everything about: Gaura Lindheimeri Pink

Gaura Lindheimeri Pink - Gaura lindheimeri rosea (latin)

Geographical origins: United States.
Adult size: Height up to 1.5m, spread up to 1m.
Foliage: Deciduous.
Type of soil: Neutral, preferably dry and poor.
Climate: Hardy to -20°C.
Site: Partial shade to full sun.

Characteristics and uses:
The blossom of the pink Gaura last from the spring to the autumn. The nectar-producing pink flowers appear on long, fine stems. Choose a sunny and rather dry spot to plant it, and let the Gaura reseed itself naturally to form a beautiful flowering bed, as this perennial only last three to four years grown in the ground. The pink Gaura will thrive in all circumstances: on its own, in a flowering bed, against a wall or even in a large pot on a balcony.
At the end of blossom, cut back the Gaura 10cm from the ground. Make sure you keep a few, naturally reseeded young plants so as to ensure the continuity of the plant.

- Gaura Lindheimeri 'Siskiyou Pink': Bush with 40 cm in diameter and a height of 70cm, foliage with purple hues.
- Gaura Lindheimeri 'Summer Star Baby®': Very compact bush with 30 cm in high.
