Geographic Origin: South-West of China (mountainous areas).
Adult size: 3.5 to 5 m in height.
Cane diameter: 2 to 3 cm.
Foliage: Evergreen.
Type of soil: Moist and deep. Does not like excessive chalk.
Exposure: Partial shade or sun.
Hardiness: -20°C.
Root development: Clumper root system (non-spreading variety).


Properties and uses:
This Bamboo has an erect shape. It has green stalks which can turn yellow if they are exposed to the sun. Its sheaths are creamy-white. Its fine, elongated foliage is green.
This Fargesia can be grown in hedges, suits small gardens and thrives even grown in pot.
We suggest growing it on its own, as a solitary tuft.
