Characteristics and uses:
The Flowering Dogwood bears a spectacular pinkish-ruby red in May. Its foliage becomes crimson red in the autumn.
It can be grown on its own as an isolated specimen or mixed in flowering hedges .Its small, bright red, globular fruits appear at the end of summer and last until the beginning of winter. It must be watered in summer if the soil dries out too much.
