Paper Bark Maple - Acer griseum, Acer nikoense (latin)

Areas of origin: Introduced in 1901.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 12m (39.4'), width up to 5m (16.4').
Foliage: Deciduous.
Soil Type: Deep and moist
Hardiness: Hardy to -20°C.
Exposure: Full sun.

Properties and uses:
The foliage becomes red in autumn, but it is the bark that this tree is well known for, a beautiful colour of cinnamon brown it peels away. This stunning tree can be found in small or large gardens or in hedges.
