Properties and uses:
Sedum spathulifolium Purpureum, commonly known as Purple Broadleaf stonecrop, or Purple Spoon-leaved stonecrop, is a perennial groundcover plant. It is the perfect choice for rock gardens, green roofs or to cover any dry, sunny area.
Sedum spathulifolium Purpureum is a simple solution to revegetate difficult soil types without much maintenance. It thrives in extreme conditions and is exceptionally resistant to drought and poor soils.
Sedum spathulifolium Purpureum is also admired for its succulent, grey-green foliage often tinged in purple at the end of the season, that forms a dense carpet-like mat. At the start of summer, a multitude of tiny, bright yellow flowers bloom, illuminating the garden and attracting pollinator insects such as bees and butterflies.
