Area of origin: China, Korea. Introduced in 1796.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 2m (6,6'), width up to 1.5m (4,9').

Hardiness: Hardy to -40°C.
Exposure: Full sun.

Properties and uses:
Very beautiful and abundant purple flowers in May and June. The flowers which are highly fragranced are much appreciated by bees. This little vigorous shrub has branches covered in little needles. The red orange fruits like little tomatoes are very attractive. This rose can be planted alone or mixed in a hedge or flowerbed.
