Description: Peony 'Felix Crousse'

Peony 'Felix Crousse' - Paeonia lactiflora 'Felix Crousse' (latin)

Geographical origin: China, Korea, Mongolia, Siberia, Japan.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 100cm, spread up to 100cm.
Foliage: Deciduous.
Type of soil: Deep, rich and well drained, preferably not a calcareous soil. (Not limy or chalky).
Climate: Hardy up to -15°C.
Site: Full sun.
Plantation's density: 1/m².

Characteristics and uses:
The Peony 'Felix Crousse' bears super, ruby red, double flowers.
The Peony bears a superb blossom from June to July. It will quickly become a small bush covered with flowers. The Peony thrives in moist, rich soils. At planting time, it is recommended to work the soil in depth and to cover up the eyes with 2 to 3cm of soil. Ideal used as cut flowers, Peonies will brighten up your garden as well as your indoor space. Peonies become larger over the years, so give it some manure or compost at the autumn to get a beautiful blossom. Finally, do not hesitate to provide a support to the flowering stems so that they do not break under heavy rain.
