Everything about: Long leaf waxflower

Long leaf waxflower - Eriostemon Myoporoides (latin)

Geographical origin: Australia
Adult Dimensions: 2m
Foliage: Evergreen
Type of soil: calcareous and well drained
Climate: Hardy- up to -10°C
Site: Full sun

Properties and uses:
The Eriostemon Myoporoide, also called Philoteca Myoporoide, is a shrub which has glossy, dark green foliage.
It is covered with abundant blossom as from the end of autumn up to the beginning of spring.
It will fill your garden with fragrance with a scent very much like the orange blossom thanks to its white to pale pink, small flowers.
The Eriostemom is sensational grown in a flowering bed or on a terrace near a window to enjoy its scent or again, mixed in a flowering hedge.
Be careful though as it needs to be grown sheltered from cold winds and in well drained soils in order to make the most of its winter blossom.
