Common Myrtle - Myrtus communis (latin)

Area of origin: All around the Mediterranean.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 3 m (9,8'), width up to 2 m (6,6').
Foliage: Evergreen.
Soil Type: Avoid soils that are too wet.
Hardiness: Tolerant to -14°C.
Exposure: Full sun.

Properties and uses:
The perfumed white flowers appear from June to October.  The blue black fruits are edible.  The leaves are very aromatic.  A very interesting shrub that can be planted in a container and then moved for shelter in winter
