Purple Japanese Water Iris - Iris ensata purpurea (latin)

Geographical origin: China, Japan.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 100 cm. spread up to 50 cm.

This Water Iris offers purple flowers with a yellow heart.
The Water Iris thrives in moist to wet soil. It can be planted along ponds or streams. From June to August, it adorns big, flat falls, highly coloured flowers. Cut the flowering stalks at the end of blossom and clean the clump at the end of winter.
