Yellow Grape Vine 'Muscat d'Alexandrie’ - Vitis muscat alexandrie (latin)

Foliage: Deciduous
Soil Type: All types of limestone, well-drained soils
Hardiness: Hardy to -15°C
Exposure: Full sun

Properties and uses:
The grape vine ‘Muscat d’Alexandrie’, also called Roman Muscat because it was introduced in France by the Romans, produces small, juicy, golden-yellow grapes with a sweet, muscat flavour, ready to be harvested in October.
It is a self-fertile variety, adapted to Southern droughts, thus more sensitive to cold and frost.

Description of the fruit:
Large, oval and compact grapes with big, purplish-black fruits, which flesh is sweet and firm.

Our advice:
This Vine can be planted all year round, and should be pruned in early Winter, to get rid of the shoots which bore fruits during the season. Don't hesitate to cut off some leaves during the summer, to encourage the fruit production.

Plant them now: the shortest way to your plate is through your garden!
