Dwarf Pomegranate - Punica granatum nana (latin)

Area of origin: South eastern Europe, western Asia.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 0.4m, width up to 0.4m (1,3').
Foliage: Deciduous.
Soil Type: Not too wet, not too dry. Dislikes lime.
Hardiness: Protect during winter in colder areas. Tolerant to -13°C.
Exposure: Full sun.

Properties and uses:
Abundant bright red flowers all summer. This little shrub is very useful for dwarf hedging, parterres, along the edges of borders and flowerbeds or in containers. The fruits called grenade, measure up to 4cm long and are very decorative.
