Button Bush - Cephalanthus occidentalis (latin)

Geographical origin: Northern America.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 3m. Spread up to 3m.
Foliage: Deciduous.
Type of soil: Preferably moist to humid.
Climate: Hardy up to -20°C.

Characteristics and uses:
The Button Bush is a rare plant under our latitudes. Its blossoming takes place in September-October and it bears scented, spherical, pompom-shaped white flowers. It withstands moist soils and owing to that fact it is a really great candidate to help consolidating banks. It is also spectacular grown in flowering hedges.
The Button Bush does not require a lot of care, a light pruning at the end of winter is all it needs.
