Properties and uses:
This flowering Crab Apple tree Coccinella 'Courtarou' is a middle-sized tree with flared bearing.
The foliage turns purple in Spring, and then becomes green as the tree blossoms. The leaves take on copper hues in autumn before falling.
At the end of winter, the tree is covered with a multitude of red flower buds. The flowers, of different shades of pink, blossom in April / May.
The small purplish, cherry-sized apples are very decorative and appreciated by the birds. They last all winter.
