Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' - Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' (latin)

Area of origin: Hybrid of Photinia glabra and Photinia serrulata.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 10 m (32,8'), width up to 8 m (26,2').
Foliage: Evergreen.
Soil Type: Rich and light. Dislikes lime.
Hardiness: Dislikes hard frosts. Hardy to -15°C.
Exposure: Full sun.
Speed of growth: Up to 1 m (3,3') in the first year.


Properties and uses:
Creamy white umbrellas of flowers in spring. The young foliage is very red.
This shrub is very vigorous and responds well to being cut to shape and works well as a screening hedge.
It can also be planted alone or within a mixed flowerbed or flowering hedge.
It can also be cut into a standard or planted in a container.
