Geographic origins: Taiwan.
Adult dimensions: Height up to 1.2 m, spread up to 1m.
Foliage: Evergreen.
Type of soil: Not chalky and well drained.
Hardiness: Hardy to -12°C.
Exposure: Shade to partial shade.


Properties and uses:
The specie Camellia transnokoensis is a superb Camellia which has a dense, bushy, erect and semi-weeping shape. From February to April, it adorns a multitude of vivid pink and red flower buds which bloom into small, white and fragrant, single flowers of 4cm across which contrast with its young coppery-red foliage.
Plant the Camellia transnokoensis in heath peat, protected from mid -day sun rays. This small Camellia thrives grown in pot, ideal on a balcony or a terrace.
