Ubame Oak - Quercus phillyreoïdes (latin)

Area of origin: Southern Japan, central China and Korea, from 300-1200m (328-1312) altitude. Introduced into Europe in 1861 by R. Oldham.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 5 m (16,4'), width up to 3 m(9,8').
Foliage: Evergreen.
Soil Type: All grounds especially lime soils and rocky ground.
Hardiness: Tolerant up to -15°C.
Exposure: Semi-shade to full light.


Properties and uses:
This rare evergreen little oak with shiny dark green leaves is great for planting on difficult ground.
