Type of soil: Rich in humus, clayey, acid to neutral.
Hardiness: Hardy to -20°C.
Site: Full sun.
Plantation density: 2 to 3 per m².

Properties and uses:
The Strawberry plant is a perennial appreciated for its abundant production of small fruits. It is also used as a ground covering plant, or to ornate the soil of a border in an original way.

The strawberries are gathered when they are bright red and come away easily. Fragile, they do not keep very long. Rich in vitamins and with low calorie content, they are the summer fruit 'par excellence'. Eaten raw, in jams, in fruit purées, in tarts, they will delight the young and the adults alike!

Before the winter frost, cut your strawberry plants to a 5 cm height to allow them to go happily through winter.

The strawberry plant 'Gariguette' is the most known and the first to produce its abundance of fruits, in May-June. Best associated with a double-cropping strawberry plant such as 'Mara des bois' for a continuous harvest that should last well until the first frost !

Plant them now: the shortest way to your plate is through your garden!

Between mid-September and mid-November, you will receive fresh plants (with leaves) to plant quickly after receipt. From mid-December, you will receive "frigo" plants; Torn in vegetative rest and then cooled, they ensure an optimum success rate.
